Job Overview: The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the end-to-end strategy, creation and implementation of New York City Center’s presence online including emails, website, and paid digital channels. This person plays a key role in execution and evaluation of digital and email marketing campaigns that are primarily designed to convert viewers to ticket buyers for the institution’s dance and musical theater programming. This individual is able to strategically merge digital content with paid media and identify the many ways content can be shared across email, website, and social media to create community and attract new audiences to City Center as well as to activate word of mouth. The Digital Marketing Manager is tech savvy and up on the latest digital trends—all while upholding City Center’s mission and our commitment to be an anti-racist organization.

 

Job Responsibilities
·       Oversee strategy, creative direction, and execution of digital content, with a strong focus on video

·       Develop and execute digital media campaigns for all New York City Center productions across all social and web channels, often in partnership with an agency

·       Measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns to inform future decisions

·       Create email campaigns with sophisticated segmentation and A/B testing (Wordfly)

·       Along with the Website Content Manager and IT, oversee the continuous improvement of website usability and design

·       Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, rights holders, digital influencers, and advertising agencies as needed for special projects and marketing initiatives

·       Analyze key website, email, and paid campaign metrics and compile reports for the marketing department establishing show-type benchmarks that can serve as early indications of success or a need for change in strategy

·       Administer Google Tag Manager updates for institutional programming and venue rentals

·       Provide renter’s digital guidelines to improve the success of companies that rent our facilities

·       Responsible for digital asset management for marketing department, including collecting and organizing photos and videos for New York City Center productions and rentals

·       Identify non-show campaigns that reinforce the City Center brand beyond show marketing

·       Attend City Center events and performances

 

This Role Requires:
·       Bachelor’s degree with prior experience in digital advertising, email marketing, and content creation

·       Strong understanding of Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager

·       Strong understanding of Google Analytics

·       Ability to translate data into actionable insights

·       Effective communication skills, both in person and in writing

·       A strong ability to prioritize and understand time management

·       Video editing (Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Adobe Premiere), graphic design (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign) and HTML experience a plus

·       Confidence with Wordfly or other email platform and Tessitura plus
